Women's Ministries (Real Women, Real Lives)

Women's Ministries at AGCC is for women of all ages. In addition to just having fun, we want to be supportive to others inside and outside the church. We have monthly meetings (generally the first Sunday evening of the month) when we gather to have a devotion, work on projects, problem-solve, and enjoy a snack.

During one recent meeting we played "Minute to Win It" games, such as keeping three balloons in the air, putting a puzzle together, and blowing playing cards from the top of a bottle. The fun was followed by a devotion about what is possible in one minute. There is so much we can do to be God's servant: support one another with prayer, smile at a stranger on the street, say "thank you", pray with a neighbor, or encourage someone. So much is possible.

The ladies also get together for women's conventions. Locally, the Assembly of God Northeast District holds a spring convention for one day in South Burlington. In the fall, there is a district-wide women's weekend retreat in New Hampshire. All of these events are uplifting and give us an opportunity to gather, praise and worship.
